There must be consequences for every action to let the violator know that it is not okay to break the law and that doing so will cost him too much. In case of traffic violations there can be several consequences, such as money-towed cars, suspended licenses, increase in insurance premiums, and many more, as without penalties no one would obey the law because no one would fear the consequences.

The best way to avoid the speed ticket would be “to stay within the speed limit” and that is probably the cheapest way, and, not to mention, the safest too.

The act of operating a motor vehicle after having consumed alcohol or other drugs to a degree that mental and motor skills are impaired is a crime because under influence of alcohol or drugs you can meet an accident. It does not even matter if you have the prescription from a doctor for the usage of certain drugs or not; if it impairs your judgment you are not allowed to drive on those medicines.
